In a unanimous vote the Pooled Money Investment Board voted to freeze disbursements of cash to bond-funded programs until California's budget shortfall is resolved. The Senate will be in session the week of November 17. During this lame-duck session of Congress, a second economic stimulus bill needs to be passed. In September, the House passed a stimulus bill, but the Senate failed to do so. Now, it is up to the Senate to help people in an ever-worsening economy.

California Legislature Meets In Special Session for Budget and Foreclosures Discussions

NLIHC Pushes Housing in Second Stimulus
